Slave Lake's Animal Rescue Committee is the group putting up a new animal shelter on the north side of Slave Lake. That project has brought a certain amount of prominence to the organization, but its work in finding homes for abandoned or ownerless dogs and cats is the real meat and potatoes of the ARC story.

The Animal Rescue Committee of Slave Lake is a not for profit group of volunteers whose aim is to work with the town to rescue homeless and abandoned animals in our community and surrounding areas. We wish to provide veterinary treatment to sick or injured animals and temporary foster homes while waiting for responsible permanent homes to be found.
