Description: Acer campestre 'Elsrijk' is a Dutch form of the traditional Field Maple ( Acer campestre) but with a more dense crown and a more upright shape. Usually used for street trees. The leaves are smaller than campestre, heart shaped and turn a lovely yellow in the autumn. Fairly tolerant to mildew. History: Introduced in 1953.
